In 1966, two brothers, Steve and Bob Sireci, started Diamond Moving, operating out of Steve’s basement in Tonawanda, NY. For the next four years, their two daughters grew up watching their dads work together and run the business. The business grew and in 1970, the brothers bought and moved the business into 321 Franklin Street, which provided storage capabilities. The business became Diamond Moving & Storage, and a third daughter was added to the family.

Growing still, in 1976, Steve and Bob purchased the seven story Cold Spring Transfer Co. building at 1440 Main Street and moved the business into that historic building, expanding their storage capabilities to 54,000 square feet. The Buffalo Evening News featured an article on the brothers, stating, “A moving service was one thing this company did not need when it made its new home at 1440 Main St - the old Cold Spring Transfer Co, Inc. building.” The article was accompanied by a large photo of Steve and Bob in front of the building that was captioned, “…brothers and co-owners of Diamond Moving & Storage, show off their new building at 1440 Main St. and their new 32 foot sign.” The iconic sign still graces the front of the building today.

The business earned a trusted reputation as a professional, hands-on, customer-oriented local moving and storage company that treats its customers and clients like family. This has led to long-standing repeat business with residential clients as well as numerous well-known commercial banks, law firms, schools, and corporations across Buffalo, NY. Many of the local banks, firms, and corporations use Diamond for not only commercial moving, but for record storage, vault storage, secure document storage, and as a long-term storage solution.

Today, those three daughters own the business they grew up around and in. Key employees have been working at Diamond for decades.
